Overview:
Building a comprehensive data aggregation and visualization platform for Ghana’s economic, demographic, and fiscal datasets. The project integrates data from multiple public and institutional sources — including the Ghana Statistical Service, Bank of Ghana, IMF, and World Bank — into a centralized PostgreSQL data warehouse hosted in the cloud.
Key Deliverables:
Designed scalable PostgreSQL schemas for multi-year datasets.
Developed Python and Apache Airflow pipelines for automated data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Implemented API-based data ingestion and web scraping for real-time updates from government and international sources.
Created interactive dashboards using Zoho Analytics and WordPress wpDataTable integration for public data access.
Added shell scripting automation for scheduling, validation, and file versioning tasks.
Impact:
Empowers policymakers, researchers, and citizens with open, up-to-date insights into Ghana’s socio-economic landscape — transforming raw public data into accessible dashboards that support transparency, planning, and data-driven decisions.
